Brake system overhaul

Problem: Pedal pulsation above 60 mph. Rotors measured below minimum thickness with 0.11 mm runout.
Solution: Two-piece rotors, fresh pads, caliper rebuild and refinish, full DOT 4 flush and bed-in.
Result: Runout 0.02 mm. Firm pedal through three track sessions at Circuit of the Americas.

Cooling system repair

Problem: Intermittent overheating in Austin traffic. Two shops had already replaced the thermostat.
Solution: Pressure test plus fan-control logging found a fan motor dropping out when hot. Fan, expansion tank and coolant replaced.
Result: Coolant stable at 92 °C in 104 °F ambient. No repeat visits.

Diagnostic + electrical repair

Problem: Random warning lights and a battery drained overnight, with no consistent fault pattern.
Solution: Parasitic-draw testing isolated a module that never slept. A chafed harness was repaired and the module re-coded.
Result: Draw down from 410 mA to 22 mA. Zero faults after 30 days.

Problem: Harsh 2–3 shifts when warm and a shudder at low speed.
Solution: Fluid analysis, filter and fluid service at the correct fill temperature, valve-body software update and adaptation reset.
Result: Shift times back within factory values, smooth from cold start to track-warm.

Suspension rebuild

Problem: Wandering at highway speed, clunks over expansion joints and inner-edge tyre wear.
Solution: New dampers and springs, upper control arms and tie-rod ends, then a four-wheel laser alignment.
Result: Tracks straight at 75 mph with toe inside 0.03°. Even tyre wear at the 5,000-mile check.

Pre-purchase inspection

Problem: A buyer flying in from Dallas needed an independent assessment before committing.
Solution: Engine over-rev report, leak-down test, underbody and brake measurements, a 25-mile road test and a 60-photo report.
Result: A weeping rear main seal was documented before sale. The buyer negotiated the repair into the price.
